Contact lens for trendy sense

A contact lens may be a remedial lens or a cosmetic one. Generally the contact lenses are placed on the cornea of eyes. The remedial lens corrects the refractive error of vision as spectacles do. Whereas the cosmetic lens are used to change the color of iris. There are many controversies over ‘Contact lens VS spectacles’, but nothing is perfect, if pros are there so as the cons. But then contact lenses surpass the spectacles, since it’s an era of ‘hip-n-trendy’! Moreover ‘Colored contacts’ has become a style statement for ‘eye- beautification’ freaks. Let’s take a glance at pros and cons of contact lenses over spectacles.

PROS:
1.First and foremost benefit of contact lens is that, it is much more comfortable and provides a natural and clear vision.
2.Moisture and perspiration do not cause fogging effects.
3.Irritation from reflection and side vision comes to an end with contact lenses.
4.It‘s a bliss for sportsmen, defending and adjusting spectacles all the time is no more worrying.
5.For eye conditions like ‘Keratoconus’ and irregular astigmatism, contact lenses are much better.

CONS:
1.High quality lenses are quite expensive.
2.Needs special attention and care.
3.An improper care may cause serious damages.
4.Carelessness may cause eye diseases.

Leonardo da Vinci, famous for its amazing piece of art “Mona Lisa”, once thought to put a curved glass lens on an eye on the year 1540. But he never thought that in future it’s going to be used as “Style-statement”. It was the time when people were crazy about Sunglasses. With the fashionable attires, sunglasses were considered as the major accessory to be worn. But after the introduction of colored contacts, sunglasses became obsolete. Rather than wearing the glasses over eyes, exposing the eyes with a pair of “Eye-Catchers” became the trend to give more elegant looks. Very similar to the varieties of sunglasses, “Eye changer” lenses are also available with number of shades and colors such as, aqua, blue, green, sapphire blue, warm honey, hazel green, jade green, pearl gray, deep blue and quite a few.
